Warehouse Operations
Air and Maritime

Handling for airlines and freight agents.

The growth of the Group has led to continuous improvement in warehouse activities, aimed at providing ancillary services for third-party shipments, as well as general goods handling and storage operations.
Warehouse Operations

The services

handling are provided on behalf of the major players in the world of air, maritime, and land freight. Freight forwarders, air and maritime carriers, their representatives, and transporters bring their goods to our facilities for the necessary operations required for preparing and completing various shipments.

Warehouse Operations

The activity

is managed in conjunction with customs services, as all warehouses hold the authorization as "E" type customs warehouses, with no space limitations, and are operated under the domiciliation procedure, in addition to temporary storage, VAT fiscal, and national warehouses.

Warehouse Operations

The specialization

for the various types of goods and transportation modes has led to the need to organize different structures dedicated exclusively to freight forwarders or separately to carriers and logistics. This includes a total area of approximately 90,000 sqm of covered warehouse space and 30,000 sqm of office space dedicated to clients.

At the end

of 2012, to offer a more comprehensive service, the "BETA CARGO VILLAGE" was created. By grouping together six facilities, it can guarantee the entire support chain for goods handling services within the same area. Alongside this, the "BETA OFFICE CENTER" offers potential synergy for customer activities.

The high level of specialization achieved for air operations has led to the development of activities outside airports to such an extent that managing air carriers directly at the airport has become increasingly necessary.

Currently, we are present at the new Malpensa Cargo City, but Beta Airport (a division of Beta-Trans) won the bid to allocate approximately 13,000 sqm of covered airside space. The new facility is expected to be delivered by the end of 2016. Beta-Trans had been seeking this opportunity for more than 10 years, but due to a lack of adequate space and infrastructure, it had not been possible until now.

This new opportunity has created the possibility to transition from an off-line Handler, albeit a complete one, to an on-line Handler at Malpensa, entering the exclusive circle of the few cargo airport operators in Italy.
